Russia is trying to draw China into war against Ukraine - political scientist Shlinchak
Political scientist Victor Shlinchak believes that Russia is trying to draw China into the war against Ukraine and get military equipment and weapons from Beijing
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Russia is trying to draw China into the war against Ukraine. The primary goal of the Russian Federation is for China to start supplying military equipment and weapons that the Kremlin lacks for the war with Ukraine. At the same time, China continues its strategy announced by Xi Jinping. It is based on the fact that there is a bipolar world with China and the United States," explained Shlinchak.
The political scientist believes that China will continue its policy of confrontation with the US.
"China will do everything possible to ensure that their strategy of a bipolar world is realized. That's why I understand that Zelenskyy's conversation with Xi Jinping was about this. In China, it all boils down to the fact that they have to become a great superpower that will confront the US," he added.
