This was stated by Ian Stubbs, Senior Military Adviser to the UK delegation to the OSCE, Ukrinform reports.
"Russia is also almost certainly struggling with a crisis of combat medical provision, after suffering an average of around 400 casualties a day for 17 months," Stubbs said.
He noted that the increasing number of battlefield casualties has significantly jeopardized the normal functioning of the Russian civilian medical system, especially in the regions bordering Ukraine. According to him, many specialized military hospitals have been reserved for the treatment of wounded officers.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost 239,480 military personnel in the war in Ukraine.
