Polish President Andrzej Duda made the statement at the UN Climate Change Conference in Sharm el-Sheikh, PAP reported.
"Russia's criminal aggression against Ukraine has led to huge human casualties, the destruction of Ukrainian infrastructure and economy, and also environmental damage," he said.
Duda pointed to the fact that Russian aggression against Ukraine has also caused extra emissions, which exceed those generated by many developing countries in an entire.
The Polish leader called on the international community "to put pressure on Russia and intensify efforts to become independent from its fossil fuels.”
