Russia intensifies repressive measures against ZNPP employees
Russian soldiers have broken into the plant's premises, beat the head of the ZNPP Department of Social Programs and his deputy, and taken both men in an unknown direction
Energoatom, Ukrainian state energy company, reported the information on Telegram.
On December 8, the Russian military broke into the premises of the Department of Social Programs of the National Nuclear Power Plant and severely beat the head of the department Oleksiy Trubenkov and his deputy Yuriy Androsov.
"After a brutal beating, the invaders took them out of the premises and in an unknown direction," Energoatom writes.
Russian troops are also holding captive ZNPP shift chief Konstiantyn Beiner. Energoatom emphasizes that the man is a licensed person and is directly responsible for nuclear and radiation safety.
The company notes that with such repressive measures, Russia seeks to gain loyalty from the plant's Ukrainian staff and get more specialists to join the so-called JSC "Operation Organization of the Zaporizhzhia NPP", which is managed by Rosatom, Russian state energy company.
"But the invaders have no successes, because the staff resists, so they rage and turn into virtually policemen and jailers, intensifying bandit attacks on patriotic ZNPP employees who want to continue working in Ukraine," writes Energoatom.
