This was reported by the UK Defense Ministry.
"Members of Russian Shtorm-Z units are highly likely being returned to combat duties with unhealed wounds, and even after limb amputations," the statement says.
Storm Z soldiers, Donetsk militia and Wagner soldiers received minimal or no medical treatment after being wounded.
UK intelligence suggests that recruits who have previously been convicted make up a significant proportion of Storm Z units, making them particularly susceptible to ill-treatment. It is likely that one of the reasons why they are not provided with adequate medical care is that prisoners often do not have the documents necessary to access military hospitals.
- UK intelligence believes that a significant Russian breakthrough towards Kurakhove is unlikely.
