Russia installs warheads from unknown missile on Shahed drones - Defense Express
Defense Express military expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi noted that the high-explosive warhead does not match the markings of any Soviet or Russian-made guided missile
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The Defense Express agency managed to establish that the Russian-made Shahed of the Geran-K modification has a warhead of an incomprehensible design. The agency knows that this warhead has a missile marking index. Moreover, this index coincides with one of the enterprises that manufactures elements for the Pantsyr-S1 complex," Kyrychevskyi explained.
According to the military expert, the 40 kg high-explosive warhead does not match the markings of any Soviet or Russian-made guided missile.
"It is possible that the Russians have developed a certain stock of warheads for some kind of upgraded system and are now using them on 'kamikaze' drones. If Defense Express managed to find the photos, it means that sometimes UAVs have some unclear nuances with their operation. But this demonstrates a simplified system of production of Shahed drones in the Russian Federation," Kyrychevskyi said.
