Russia hits the same destroyed infrastructure site in Konotop during night attack, mayor says
Russia has launched a ballistic missile at an infrastructure facility in the town of Konotop — targeting a site that had already been destroyed weeks earlier
This was shared by the mayor of Konotop, Artem Semenikhin, in a live broadcast on Espreso.
"Probably local collaborators are trying to earn a few coins from the Russians. Since February 24, 2022, there have been no military units in Konotop. They all left and are at the front. The soldiers can only come home for a few days during their leave. The Russians struck the same site again that was destroyed a few weeks ago. Last time, they destroyed everything there, and now only remnants are left. Today, they fought with the trees there, honestly, the Russians won — they felled the trees," said Semenikhin.
The mayor also reported that Russian troops attacked the suburbs with several missiles during the night.
"At the site where they launched the ballistic missile, there is nothing left. It's an infrastructure object of the city. It was actually very quiet in the city today. We’ve never had this situation before, not on February 24, 2022, nor on September 12 when the most massive drone attack occurred on the city. They also attacked the suburbs with several rockets, and it was very audible," he added.
- Since the evening of May 24, the Russian occupying army launched strike drones across Ukraine, and at night—cruise missiles. There are casualties and destructions in several regions.
