Russia hides its capabilities: military expert Zgurets on key detail of August 30 attack on Ukraine
Russia has begun to change the numbering system of its cruise missiles creating difficulties in determining the date of their manufacture.
Defense Express CEO and military expert Serhiy Zgurets shared the information on Espreso TV.
"What is interesting about today's missile attack? All the cruise missiles were shot down, but what is interesting is that I had a conversation with experts. They were examining the debris, and they noticed Russia had begun altering the manufacturing dates of these cruise missiles to obscure their origin. In the past, we could precisely identify their production date due to a specific numbering system," he said.
Zgurets highlighted that previously these missiles were launched immediately after production - they were manufactured and then employed in terrorist attacks against Ukraine.
"The debris of several missiles that were shot down today indicates that they were manufactured in the eighth quarter of last year. This confirms that the Russians have started changing the numbering of missiles and creating difficulties in determining the date of manufacture of these samples. I think they are masking their capabilities. This is a small detail related to today's attack," the expert summarized.
