Russia has begun "cleansing" of "leaders of LPR" for failures in war against Ukraine, the "minister" Igor Kornet is arrested - intelligence

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

"Minister of the Interior of the LPR, Major General" Kornet Igor Aleksandrovych, born April 29, 1973, was arrested by the FSB of Russia and is currently being held in the FSB pre-trial detention center in Rostov-on-Don", the intelligence service noted.

The arrest caused a negative reaction on the part of law enforcement agencies and the political leadership of the "LPR", which considered such actions the beginning of a change in the power bloc of the self-proclaimed republic.

"Due to personnel changes and intimidation of the leadership of the quasi-republic, Russia is trying to establish effective work to mobilize human resources in the temporarily occupied territories of the Luhansk region to quickly replace losses in units and subunits of the 2nd Army Corps of the Russian occupation forces and continue the conduct of hostilities against Ukraine", the Ministry of Defense said.
