Russia fired 8 missiles at Vinnytsia, airport is destroyed - Zelensky

He announced this on Facebook.

"I have just been informed about a missile attack on Vinnytsia, 8 missiles. Against our city, our peaceful, kind Vinnytsia, which has never threatened Russia", the president said.

He added that as a result of the strike in the city, the airport was destroyed.

"They continue to destroy our infrastructure, our life that we built, our parents, our grandparents, the generation of Ukrainians built", Zelensky stressed.

The President once again repeated the request to close the sky over Ukraine for all Russian missiles and combat aircraft.

"Make a humanitarian air zone. No missiles, no air bombs. We are people, and it is your humanitarian duty to protect us, protect people. And you can do it. If you don't do this if you don't give us at least planes so that we could defend ourselves, only one conclusion can be drawn: you also want us to be killed very slowly", he summed up and added that the responsibility for security in Ukraine concerns both world politicians and Western leaders.

Vinnytsia Mayor Sergiy Morgunov released photos and videos of the consequences of the shelling.
