'Yermak threatens to kill bloggers supporting peace, opposing Zelenskyy’: fresh portion of Russian disinfo

According to the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, on July 10, Russian media launched two manipulations.

Manipulation: Russian dictator's spokesman Peskov said: “the statement by the new British Prime Minister about Ukraine's right to strike Russia with Storm Shadow missiles is another irresponsible step.”

Rebuttal: Peskov's statements are aimed at discrediting Ukraine's Western partners and attempting to portray them as irresponsible, which is a typical Russian propaganda tactic. Ukraine has the right to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity using available means, including military equipment provided by its allies.

Manipulation: Russia and Ukraine News: Special Operation Z Telegram channel wrote: "Yermak went straight to threats to kill and imprison bloggers who are for peace, against Zelenskyy and mobilization.”

Rebuttal: Russians manipulated the words of the head of the President’s Office, as the full quote reads as follows: "The hysteria about ending the war on Putin's terms means the defeat and destruction of those who are promoting such ideas in Ukraine today. They will be destroyed by the Russians themselves.”
