Ukrainian Armed Forces surrender positions due to lack of personnel: Russia launches new fake news
Russian propaganda promotes the fake that Ukrainian troops are losing ground at the front due to lack of personnel
The Center for Strategic Communications reports.
"The Ukrainian defense forces have to leave small frontline areas due to understaffing," Russian propagandists are spreading this information with reference to journalist Christoph Wanner.
The Center believes that the Russians may have been referring to the withdrawal of Ukrainian defenders from Krokhmalne, Kharkiv region, and the capture of this village by the Russian troops.
The spokesman for the Ukrainian Army, Fitio, emphasized during the telethon that Ukrainian Defense Forces had withdrawn to reserve positions because the village had been completely destroyed by the Russian invaders and there was no way to stay there, as it would have endangered Ukrainian soldiers' lives.
"As for Christoph Wanner, his work is accompanied by one-sidedness, violations of journalistic standards and an openly pro-Russian position," SPRAVDI writes.
