Trump's 95% peace deal goes up in smoke after Putin's Valdai bluff

It doesn't even matter whether Ukrainian drones flew over Putin's cave or not. Because even if they had flown, Russia could have reacted to them in different ways. If Putin had the desire to move toward some kind of peace agreement, he would be speaking or even threatening differently. But as it is – the position is unambiguous – a revision of all previous agreements. That is, all those 95% of the deal that Trump was so proud of need to be reviewed again.

Instead of a quick sprint to peace, it turns out to be running in place with obstacles.

At the press conference, Trump clearly over-praised Putin, and Putin believed that he could significantly increase the load of noodles on his ears... 

"However, despite everything, I believe that Trump will later be forced to turn to his Plan Bs. He will be pushed toward this, in particular, by congressional elections and sentiments among Republicans. And the first Plan B is pressure on the price of Russian oil. As we can see, in fact this pressure can work toward results."

And the second Plan B is agreements with China, which may include peace in the Russian-Ukrainian war. For now, it's difficult for Trump to agree to a new bipolar world in which Russia, by the way, is assigned far from leading roles, but Trump's visit to China is already scheduled for next year.
