Russian media outlets spread false information about an alleged assassination attempt on the Ukrainian Minister of Defense using an explosive device.
The Center for Countering Disinformation has verified the information with Ukraine's Defense Ministry and noted that it is not true.
"This is not the first time Russian propaganda has launched information attacks against Ukrainian officials in an attempt to destabilize the situation inside the country," the statement said.
