Russia experiences ‘shell hunger’ due to explosions in their rear — Ukraine's Operational Command South
OC South spokeswoman Natalia Humeniuk noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' combat actions against Russian ammunition supply centers last week were quite effective
She stated this on Espreso.
“There are many explosions happening because Russian shells are getting destroyed somewhere in their rear positions. The Russians are facing a critical shortage of ammunition on the left bank of the conflict zone. They have nowhere to get more resources. The enemy is finding it challenging to transport supplies due to our control over their logistics routes, which is a significant obstacle for them,” she noted.
According to Humeniuk, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have been effective in targeting and destroying the enemy's ammunition storage points last week.
“We successfully destroyed five warehouses with ammunition, leading to a shortage of shells for the enemy. As a result, the occupiers have reduced the use of large-caliber artillery and are relying more on mortars and MLRS. Just last night, we destroyed another large-caliber enemy gun and two sabotage boats that attempted to maneuver between the islands,” she said.
