Russia deploys fighter jets and cargo aircraft to Belarus

At least 8 fighter jets and 4 transport planes flew from Russia to the Belarusian military airfield in Baranovichi

This was reported by the Belarusian Hajun publication.

The monitoring group claims, on January 15, at least 8 fighter jets of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived at the military airfield in Baranovichi from Russia. First, four Su-34 landed, then four Su-30s.

"It is known for sure that two Su-30SM were coming from Kursk (Russia). It is noteworthy that before the arrival of today's fighters, two Su-34 Russian Aerospace Forces were already deployed in Baranovichi,"  Hajun emphasizes.

In addition, in the period from 12:46 pm to 5:50 pm, three transport aircraft An-12 and another An-26 arrived in Baranovichi. Three of them were heading from Russia, and one was in Machulishchy and flew to Baranovichi, from where it departed at 2:05 pm.

"According to our data, at least some of the planes brought something. It is likely to be ammunition for fighters," the statement reads.

Probably, the purpose of this transfer of aircraft is to participate in the exercises of Russia and Belarus, which will begin on January 16 and will last until February 1.
