Andriy Yusov, the spokesman for the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, made the statement, according to Krym. Realii.
According to him, such plans of the Russian troops are evidenced by the presence of defensive structures in northern Crimea.
"They are preparing an echeloned defense. It is important that this is being done in northern Crimea. This suggests that they consider retreat to certain borders as a realistic scenario," Yusov said on the United News national telethon.
- On the morning of May 18, a train carrying grain exploded on a railway line near Simferopol, causing at least 5 cars to derail. Defense Intelligence of Ukraine responded.
