Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar wrote about this on Telegram.
She stated that the occupying forces are conducting intensive operations in the battles for Bakhmut, using maximum efforts: this requires defensive measures and the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operational decisions.
“The Russian enemy is engaging its most professional units. These are not only the Wagner mercenaries, but also special forces and air assault units. At the same time, they suffer significant losses,” Hanna Maliar wrote.
The Deputy Defense Minister summarized that the situation is currently under control, the command is working in the combat zone and decisions are made around the clock.

In the evening, the General Staff reported that the Russian enemy continues to conduct offensive actions in the Bakhmut direction, trying to take full control of the city. Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled about 10 enemy attacks in this area.
