This is reported by the Russian mass media.
Gas transport operators OPAL Gastransport and NEL Gastransport said that the gas pipeline will be closed from 4:00 on August 31 to 4:00 on September 3 due to preventive works.
Gazprom previously claimed that the shutdown of Nord Stream was necessary to carry out maintenance and scheduled work on the only working Trent 60 gas pumping unit.
The complex of regulatory works must be performed jointly with the specialists of the Siemens company.
The gas pipeline is capable of transporting up to 167 million cubic meters per day, but Russia reduced it to 33 million cubic meters before the shutdown allegedly due to non-compliance with the terms of the contract regarding the repair of the Siemens turbine.
