Russia compiles updated school history book to include war against Ukraine

Russia to publish a school history textbook that includes information about the war against Ukraine. The textbook will be included in the curriculum starting next school year

Russian Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov reported the information, according to Russian media.

"The textbook will be ready for high school students in March. And I hope that it will be implemented in schools starting from the next school year," the Russian official said.

According to him, the textbook will tell students in detail about the goals and objectives of the "special military operation," as Russia defines its attack on Ukraine.

The textbook will be compiled by Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, who has previously stated that Russians have an extra chromosome.

Secretary of Russia's General Council Andrey Turchak, in turn, said that the textbook should reflect the "exploits" of the Russian military. Representatives of the Russian Military History Society stated that the new textbook "will present the heroic deeds of our ancestors, from ancient Russia to the special military operation."
