Explosions reported near Russian-held Tokmak
For the second day in a row, local residents report powerful explosions near Russian-occupied Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region
Melitopol Mayoor Ivan Fedorov reported the information.
"For the second day in a row, something bad has been happening to the occupiers in the Melitopol direction," the statement said.
He noted the incidents started yesterday, August 25, in the afternoon: residents of the northern part of Melitopol and the surrounding towns of Terpin, Kostyantynivka, Myrne and Voznesenka reported powerful explosions heard in the direction of Tokmak.
"The series of explosions continued at dawn today: once again, residents of Melitopol in the northern part of the city heard the initial distant blasts around 4:30 am, followed by closer and louder ones after 5 am, and then more distant explosions around 6 am," wrote Fedorov.
On Friday, August 18, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region. According to the mayor of the city, the railroad track may have been damaged.
