The exercises will take place in the waters near the Iranian port of Chabahar and will involve tasks such as targeting maritime targets, inspecting and detaining ships, addressing ship damage, and conducting joint search and rescue operations.

"The aim of the exercises is to deepen military trust and practical cooperation between the armed forces of the participating countries," stated the Chinese Ministry of Defense.

It was also reported that China will send its 47th Escort Flotilla, which includes the destroyer Baotou and the general-purpose supply ship Gaoyouhu, to participate in the exercises.

  • China's Special Representative for European Affairs, Lu Shaye, stated that the conditions for ending the war in Ukraine should be determined by all interested parties, not just Russia and the United States.
