Vadym Skibitskyi, representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, shared the information on the United News national telethon, Radio Liberty reports.

"Russia is short of Iskander ballistic missiles, Kalibr stocks are running out, the number of air-launched cruise missiles Kh-101, Kh-555 is decreasing," he stressed.

Despite the reduction in volume, missile production in Russia continues to operate, Skibitsky said. "We are now finding fragments of missiles manufactured in the fourth quarter of 2022. This means that they are produced and immediately provided to the troops to shell targets in Ukraine."

Also, the Russian military is now using Iranian drones, old-type missiles, high-precision ballistic missiles and modified S-300 missiles in various configurations, the representative of the Defence Intelligence adds.

  • On January 1, 2023, Operational Command South’s head of the Joint Press Center Natalia Humenyuk stressed that Russia for the first time engaged missile carriers from the Caspian Sea to attack Ukraine.
  • On the night of January 2, 2023, explosions rang out again in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, as well as in Kyiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. Ukrainian air defense systems were working on enemy air targets.
