Russia builds up minefields on border with Ukraine – General Staff

Ukrainian Armed Forces launched 11 strikes on Russian military positions

Another strike hit the enemy's anti-aircraft missile system.

In turn, the missile troops destroyed 9 artillery pieces, a manpower concentration area, a munitions depot and an enemy electronic warfare station.

During the day, Russia launched 14 missile strikes and 57 airstrikes against Ukraine

In total, the Russian Federation fired 12 Kalibr cruise missiles, 2 P-800 Oniks anti-ship missiles, and 19 Iranian Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs at the port infrastructure of the Odesa region. Air defense destroyed 11 Kalibr cruise missiles and all 19 Shaheds.

Unfortunately, the Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Residential buildings, a hotel, a kindergarten, and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Ove the last day, 17 combat engagements took place in the main frontline areas

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains challenging.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 25 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

Russian attacks in other Ukrainian regions

• In the Kupyansk direction, 10 settlements of the Kharkiv region came under artillery shelling. 

• In the Lyman direction, over 15 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under Russian fire. 

• In the Bakhmut direction, over 25 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

• In the Avdiivka direction, more than 10 settlements in the Donetsk region were attacked. 

• In the Marinka direction, over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region came under shelling. 

• In the Shakhtarsk direction, over 10 localities in the Donetsk region were shelled. 

• In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, about 40 towns and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army. 

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue offensive operations in the Melitopol sector and offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut sector, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the invading forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
