Russia bombs central Kramatorsk, injuring 15 people

Pavlo Diachenko, head of the communications department of the National Police in the Donetsk region, stated this on Espreso TV.

As of now, 15 people are known to be injured. In the morning, 9 victims were reported, and later 10. This indicates that people are continuing to seek medical help, he added.

"Russia launched a treacherous strike almost on the central part of the city. The situation looks extremely difficult - multi-story buildings have been destroyed, windows have been blown out, shrapnel has damaged residents' homes and destroyed property," the spokesman noted.

Earlier, Oleksandr Honcharenko, head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration, reported on Facebook that Russia had struck the center of Kramatorsk with three bombs during the night.

“At 11:10 p.m., using three FAB-250 bombs with UMPK modules, Russian forces struck the central part of the city,” Honcharenko clarified.

According to him, as of morning, nine people have been injured, all of whom are receiving medical care.

All relevant services and municipal agencies are working to address the aftermath.

• Earlier, Serhiy Zgurets, CEO of the media and consulting company Defense Express, noted that Russia is currently amassing forces to pressure Ukraine’s defenses and create conditions for capturing Pokrovsk. He added that this would be a crucial battle this year, as Russian forces cannot advance toward Sloviansk and Kramatorsk without taking Pokrovsk, even with superiority in troops and equipment.
