The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, informed about this at a press conference after an emergency meeting of NATO members convened due to the fall of a missile on the territory of Poland.
The Secretary General emphasized that the investigation into the missile fall in Poland, that killed 2 people, is ongoing and it is necessary to await for the official results. Preliminary analysis suggests that the incident was likely caused by a Ukrainian air defense missile fired to defend Ukrainian territory against Russian cruise missile attacks.
“This is not Ukraine’s fault. Russia bears ultimate responsibility, as it continues its illegal war against Ukraine,” Stoltenberg stated.
