Russia attacks Zaporizhzhia, damaging heat supply and killing a pers
In the evening of November 18, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia, damaging central heating pipes and killing a person
Anatoliy Kurtiev, secretary of Zaporizhzhya City Council, reported this on Telegram.
He noted that utility workers have managed to repair the pipeline before noon. Within 3-4 hours, the system will be filled, and the heat will return to Zaporizhzhia.
Also, Kurtiev previously reported that a person died as a result of the attack.
Oleksandr Starukh, the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, confirmed the information earlier.
He noted that Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia damaged a central heating pipeline in one of the city's districts. Also, 123 multi-storey buildings, with more than 17,000 residents, were left with no heating.
"No matter what arguments the Russian invaders use, their terrorist actions are actually aimed at creating a humanitarian catastrophe," Starukh wrote.
He also noted that utility workers are already working on site. As of 09:41, heat supply has already been restored in 60 houses. Estimated time of complete heat supply resumption is 11:00 p.m. of November 19.
Earlier, Oleksandr Starukh reported on Telegram about the missile attack on Zaporizhzhia.
"The enemy launched a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia. An object of industrial infrastructure was damaged. Rescue team is working at the scene," Starukh wrote.
The local Telegram channel reported that the residents had heard 6-7 explosions.
