Вeath toll in Kryvyi Rih rises to 11; day of mourning declared in city

As a result of a Russian attack on the night of June 13, 11 people have been killed in Kryvyi Rih, June 14 is declared a day of mourning in the city

The air alert started spreading from the southern regions after 01:30, and by 02:46, the capital and Kyiv region were declared in danger. The alert later extended to all regions of Ukraine, except for the western regions, which were also put on alert around 03:45. There were also warnings about the possibility of missile launches from the Caspian Sea.

Explosions were reported in various regions of Ukraine. 

Kharkiv region

In the morning, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reported that the building facade in the Kyiv district was damaged as a result of a night attack by Shahed  UAV.

A fire broke out in a storehouse in Saltivka district. Also, an UAV hit a car. Preliminary, there were no casualties.

Dnipropetrovsk region 

According to the head of the military administration of Kryvyi Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul, 10 people were killed as of 1 p.m. Twenty-eight people were injured, 12 of them in moderate, serious and very serious condition in the city's hospitals.

June 14 was declared a day of mourning in the city. 

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, later added that the body of another dead person was recovered from under the rubble of a private enterprise in Kryvyi Rih. 

"During this terrible night, the enemy killed 11 civilians in the city. The search and rescue operation is over. We are clearing the rubble," Lysak wrote. 

n the morning Serhiy Lysak reported that the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, three cruise missiles were shot down in the region, but there were casualties and a severely damaged 5-story building in Kryvyi Rih. 

There were still people trapped under the collapsed building, and a fire broke out in the apartments from the first to fifth floors, covering an area of 700 square meters. Rescuers are working to control the fire.

As of 09:30, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city's Defense Council, the death toll in Kryvyi Rih has risen to 6.

At another location, three victims were taken to the hospital, and there may be people trapped under the rubble of a warehouse. 

Six cars were damaged, and a building and a car caught fire, which have since been extinguished. An automobile enterprise was also attacked, damaging trucks, but the fire was put out. A farm building was destroyed, and the rescue unit also sustained damage.

Emergency services are present throughout the affected areas, and the National Police have set up a mobile center to receive applications from victims. 

Earlier, the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported that the Russians had hit several civilian objects in the city, including a five-story building.

"High-speed" monsters hit several absolutely peaceful objects in different parts of the city, including a five-story building. All emergency services are working, fires have been extinguished. An ambulance is providing assistance, there are victims in extremely serious condition, there are probably people under the rubble," he wrote on Telegram.

Kyiv region

Air defense was operating in the Kyiv region. According to preliminary information, it was possible to shoot down all the missiles launched by the enemy from the Caspian Sea. There were no casualties or destruction.

“More terrorist missiles, Russian killers continue their war against residential buildings, ordinary cities and people. Unfortunately, there are dead and wounded. The rescue operation in Kryvyi Rih continues. My condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones! Terrorists will never be forgiven, and they will be held accountable for every missile they launch,” Zelenskyy wrote. 

President Zelenskyy is originally from Kryvyi Rih.
