Russia attacks Ukraine with drones and missiles: casualties in Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Lviv, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Prykarpattia, Mykolaiv

Attack on Lviv region

Overnight, Russia targeted Lviv region with drones and cruise missiles. The strikes hit critical infrastructure.

Preliminary reports from the regional military administration said there were no casualties.

Victims in Cherkasy region

Russian attacks also damaged civilian infrastructure in Cherkasy region.

Initial data shows three people were injured. Emergency services are working at the site.

Later, the regional administration reported that a large-scale missile and drone strike on Smila injured six people, including one child. All are receiving medical help.

Three nine-story apartment buildings were damaged. The local branch of the National University of Food Technologies was also heavily hit.

Shelling of Zaporizhzhia

Zaporizhzhia regional head Ivan Fedorov said in the morning that Russia launched a missile strike on the city.

A production facility was damaged. No casualties were reported initially.

Attack on Mykolaiv

At around 01:28, Russian forces struck Mykolaiv with ballistic missiles, followed by groups of Shahed drones at 02:56, according to regional head Vitaly Kim.

An infrastructure site was hit, causing a fire that has been put out. Warehouse buildings were damaged. No injuries were reported.

Damage in Poltava region

Air defense operated overnight in Poltava region. According to officials, an enterprise in Kremenchuk district was hit and caught fire.

State Emergency Service teams have been working at the scene since night. No casualty reports yet.

Enemy shelling also damaged Poltava's railway infrastructure.

At Poltava-Pivdenna station, windows and doors were blown out, and part of the ceiling collapsed. Suburban stations, carriages, and admin buildings were also damaged by the blast wave.

Ukrzaliznytsia said passengers and staff were in shelters during the strike, so no one was hurt.

Shelling of Prykarpattia region

Overnight, fragments of downed enemy targets fell on private farms in Rohatyn and Bilshivtsi communities in Ivano-Frankivsk region.

In the village of Vasyuchyn, windows of the UGCC Church of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos and part of a wooden bell tower were damaged.

In Narayivka, a woman was injured and a house was hit.

Consequences of the attack on Kharkiv

At 19:45, Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov reported a strike drone was shot down over the city.

"A strike drone was downed by defense forces over Kharkiv. Preliminary info — no damage. Enemy UAVs are still in the sky. Stay alert and take cover," said Terekhov.

At 20:24, regional head Oleh Syniehubov said debris from a drone caused a fire in Kharkiv’s Kyiv district.

"Details are being clarified. So far, no reports of casualties. Emergency services are on site," Syniehubov added.

Later, he confirmed that a private house roof in Kyivskyi district caught fire from a drone strike. One person was reportedly injured.
