Russia attacks Ukraine with 9 missiles and 10 drones at night - General Staff

This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainain Armed Forces in its morning report on March 31.

Russia continues to ignore the laws and customs of war and uses terror tactics against Ukrainian civilians. 

Thus, at night, the Russian enemy launched 9 missiles at the civilian infrastructure of Kharkiv using an S-300 anti-aircraft missile complex. 

It also used 10 Shahed-136 drones to conduct air strikes, 9 of which were destroyed by Ukrainian soldiers: one by an air defense unit of the Army and eight by the Air Force - anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups of the East Air Command.

The Russian forces attacked with kamikaze drones from the northern direction - Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, through Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

In addition to the drones, up to five other airborne targets, presumably balloons, were also spotted in the sky.

The likelihood of further missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

Over the past 24 hours, on March 30, Russia launched 11 missile and 4 air strikes, and fired 43 times from multiple launch rocket systems.

The epicenter of combat remains in Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled over 80 Russian attacks

The Russian enemy is focusing its main efforts on conducting offensive actions at the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. 

The towns of Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka remain at the epicenter of the fighting.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled over 80 enemy attacks in these areas. 

The situation in the different directions

The operational situation in the Northern and Northeastern Ukrainian borders remains unchanged, no signs of offensive groups were detected. 

Combat training activities of the Russian Armed Forces’ territorial troops continue on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. The Russian enemy continues to maintain military presence in the border areas of Kursk and Belgorod regions. 

Over the past day, the enemy fired at 1 settlement in Chernihiv region, 6 in Sumy region, and more than 15 settlements in Kharkiv region.

At the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, Russia conducted unsuccessful offensives in 3 districts. 

Artillery attacks were made on 7 settlements in Kharkiv region, 3 in Luhansk region and 5 in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian troops continue to storm the city of Bakhmut, Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 attacks. 

At the same time, Russian forces conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Donetsk region. They fired at 4 localities in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka and Marinka directions, the Russian army conducted offensive actions in the direction of 8 localities in the Donetsk region, but they were unsuccessful. 

The Russian troops fired at 13 localities in the Donetsk region.

In the Vuhledar direction, they fired at 5 localities in the Donetsk region during the day.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian occupiers shelled more than 30 settlements. Among them - 2 settlements in Donetsk region; 7 in Zaporizhzhia region and 6 in Kherson region.

Ukrainian Armed Forces hit a command post, 4 warehouses and several areas of occupiers' concentration

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 6 strikes on the areas of occupiers' concentration. 

Missile and artillery units hit 1 control center, 6 areas of Russian manpower concentration, 2 ammunition depots and 2 fuel and lubricant depots.

• Late in the evening of March 30, Russian occupiers launched rocket attacks on Kharkiv. A residential building and two civilian cars were damaged.

• On the night of March 31, explosions occurred in Zaporizhzhia.
