Death toll from Russian attack on Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions rises to 3
On Monday morning, August 28, Russian terrorists targeted an industrial facility in the Poltava region, killing 3 and injuring 5. They also attacked Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, destroying houses
The head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, informed about the attack on the Poltava region.
He noted that Russian troops had launched a missile attack on the village of Hoholeve, Poltava region.
Poltava region: death toll rises to 3
The explosion caused a fire in an oil mill. According to Ukraine’s Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, as of 12:52 a.m., 3 people were killed and 5 injured. One more person is missing.
The 5 injured people were working the night shift at an industrial facility.
The day before, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Lunin, reported the attack on the Poltava region.
"Today, the enemy attacked the Poltava region, targeting an industrial facility. We are currently gathering information about the casualties,” he wrote.
Later, at 08:20 a.m., Lunin provided an update, confirming that 2 individuals had been killed in the Russian attack. Additionally, 2 people were hospitalized with minor injuries.
Lunin also mentioned that the production workshop had been completely destroyed.
Dnipropetrovsk region: Russian troops attack Kryvyi Rih
According to Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, the Russian army launched a missile attack on Kryvyi Rih in the morning, using tactical aviation from the southern direction.
The attack resulted in the destruction of 2 country houses and damage to 5 more. The impact also damaged a farm building.
Fortunately, there were no casualties. Efforts are currently underway to assess the full extent of the damage caused by the attack.
