Russia attacks Naftogaz's facilities almost every week - company’s CEO
Invading Russian forces attack Naftogaz fuel and energy company facilities almost every week. However, Ukraine is preparing to defend them using its experience
Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Naftogaz Board, said in an interview with Radio Svoboda.
"Many facilities were damaged and suffered losses. Naftogaz is no exception in this regard. Nowadays, almost every week, we are a target of the Russian Federation, the enemy. But we are preparing," he said.
According to Chernyshev, strengthening Ukraine's air defense system remains key.
When asked by Radio Svoboda journalists to rate the effectiveness of the current defense on a scale of one to ten, the chairman of the board said that it is currently "less than ten."
Ukrenergo said that Russian terrorists attacked more than 70 large energy facilities in Ukraine last fall and winter.
