Another Pantsir-S1 air defense system installed near Putin's residence in Valdai

On Ryabinovy Island, 3.7 kilometers from the Russian dictator's residence in Valdai, a Pantsir-S1 air defense system was installed on a tower, similar to those previously seen installing air defense in the Moscow region.

The tower with the air defense system mounted on it is clearly visible on new Google satellite images from May 6 this year. The history of images from previous months on Planet.com shows that this air defense position near Putin's Valdai residence was built in March 2023.

In January, one Telegram channel wrote that drone attacks on St. Petersburg were related to the deployment of air defense systems to "protect a strategically important facility in Valdai.”

A photo of another Pantsir allegedly installed near Putin's Valdai residence in the village of Yascherovo was published in January 2023 by the Agency.

• On July 2, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that during the night their air defense forces allegedly destroyed a number of drones over the territories of two regions of Russia and occupied Crimea.
