Russia aggravating the situation with nuclear weapons statements is not in China's interests

This was stated by political scientist Oleh Saakyan on Espreso TV.
"Regarding nuclear weapons in Belarus, these Purin’s statements. I see only one story in this: it was not possible to really reach any serious agreements with China. Now Russia's threats are eroding China's plans and actually legalizing the nuclearization of the Pacific region to deter China. Russia is now stirring up the situation not in China's interests, but by weakening its position and legitimizing the US's retaliatory steps. I think that Xi Jinping is not very happy about Russia's statements regarding Belarus," he said.

On March 25, Vladimir Putin said that a storage facility for Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus would be completed by July 1.
