
Russia accuses Ukraine of drone strikes on Ryazan and Nizhny Novgorod
Russia claims that on the night of April 29, Ukrainian drones allegedly attempted to attack the Nizhny Novgorod region and Ryazan, including a local oil depot
Russian otlet Meduza reported the information.
According to reports, residents of Ryazan heard air defense operations over the city during the night, as Ukrainian drones allegedly attempted to strike an oil depot located there.
Additionally, there were reports of a drone attack on Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region.
Governor Gleb Nikitin confirmed that the attack was repelled by air defense forces.
“At night, air defense forces repelled a UAV attack over two districts in the Nizhny Novgorod region,” governor Gleb Nikitin reported. “According to preliminary data, there were no reported consequences.”
The Russian Ministry of Defense also announced that it had destroyed 91 drones over "the territory of Russia and the annexed Crimea." In particular, air defense allegedly shot down 11 drones over the Ryazan region and 8 over the Nizhny Novgorod region.
