On the night of Monday, April 28, Russia reported a drone attack on several regions. In Bryansk, explosions struck Kremniy El, one of the country’s largest microelectronics manufacturers
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the information.
According to their data, Russian air defense forces destroyed a total of 115 drones that night, including 102 over the Bryansk region, two over the Kursk region, one over the Belgorod region, one over the Black Sea, and nine drones over the territory of annexed Crimea.
Reports online indicate that around 10 explosions were heard in Bryansk that night, and a fire broke out.
Experts from Dnipro Osint report that drone attacks targeted the microelectronics plant Kremniy El in Bryansk. At least 2–3 hits were recorded in the factory’s workshop.
This marks the fifth attack on this plant since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. The plant was first attacked on October 19, 2024.
The attack on the region was also confirmed by the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz. According to him, as a result of the massive drone attack that night, a civilian was allegedly killed, and there is one injured.
Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, stated that the Bryansk plant Kremniy El, which was once again targeted by unknown drones, produces microelectronics for missile systems, the Pantsir air defense system, Iskander missiles, as well as radar, electronic warfare systems, and Russian drones.
"There have already been many attacks, and the plant has previously suspended operations," Kovalenko noted.
