Ring of unstable governments forming around Ukraine — political analyst
Ukraine enters another round of difficult diplomatic relations, in which it will be very difficult to lean on its neighbor's shoulder as it was before
The Chairman of the Board of the Institute of World Policy Victor Shlinchak told about it on Espreso TV.
"A belt of unstable governments is forming around Ukraine. We have a difficult situation in Slovakia, Hungary, and now in Poland, where the vote was split 50-50. We will have a difficult situation in Moldova. Romania, of course, is a good news story, but there is also the situation in the Czech Republic, where the opponents of the current president are also gaining quite serious points. All this indicates that we are entering another round of difficult diplomatic relations, in which it will be very difficult to lean on the shoulder of a neighbor as it was before," commented Victor Shlinchak.
The political scientist recalled the words of Lech Walesa, the former leader of Solidarity and President of Poland in 1990-1995, who said that after Navrotsky's arrival, one should go to the countryside, turn off the phone and not read any more Polish news. Because populists, the right-wing, forces that criticize the European Union, liberal values, and democratic processes are coming to power.
“These words of Lech Walesa resonate with me, because, unfortunately, we will have difficult relations with Poland,” Shlinchak summarized.
