Poland’s new president Nawrocki responds to Zelenskyy, calls for continued partnership
The newly elected President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, thanked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for his congratulations and expressed hope for continued strong cooperation between the two countries

He shared the message on his official page on the social media platform X.
"Dear President President Zelenkyy, thank you for your message. I am looking forward to countinue partnership of our countries, based on mutual respect and understanding," Nawrocki wrote.
He also highlighted the importance of constructive dialogue and “solving overdue historical issues.”
"Poland has been Ukraine's strongest supporter against the Russian aggression, no other nation understands this threat more than we do, and I hope we’ll continue to work together for the common good, for settling the unsettled past and building safe future together," he concluded.
- On Sunday, June 1, the second round of the presidential election was held in Poland. The winner was the candidate from the Law and Justice party, Karol Nawrocki. The margin between him and his opponent, Rafał Trzaskowski from the Civic Platform, was less than 2%. The current Polish leader, Andrzej Duda, congratulated his successor.
- Karol Nawrocki was also congratulated on his election victory by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
