Rheinmetall to supply 14 Leopard 2 tanks ordered by the Netherlands to Ukraine
Rheinmetall will supply 14 Leopard 2 tanks ordered by the Netherlands to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The first tank will arrive in Ukraine in January 2024

"According to Rheinmetall, the order is worth a low three-digit million euro sum," the media writes.
A corresponding agreement was also reached with the German federal government.
The first of the 14 main battle tanks is to be delivered to Ukraine in January 2024, and the rest of the vehicles - during 2024.
These are tanks that the company has previously received from other countries.
Germany, Poland, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands are working on providing Ukraine with Leopard main battle tanks to counter Russia. The US, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands are providing Ukraine with more than 90 T-72 tanks. Poland is also providing its T-72s. The UK is providing Ukraine with a company of Challenger main battle tanks.
In March, 9 countries announced their intention to provide Ukraine with over 150 Leopard tanks. In addition, the Swedish government decided to provide Ukraine with 10 Leopard 2 tanks to prepare for a counteroffensive.
