Refugees from Kherson take to streets of Odesa to celebrate liberation of their home city
The liberation of Kherson was celebrated on November 12 as residents of the Kherson region, who evacuated to Odesa, gathered near the Opera House
This was reported by the local Dumska newspaper.
It is reported that people came with national flags, hugged and congratulated each other while passing cars greeted Kherson residents with horns.
According to Iryna Nurullina, who stayed in the occupation for half a year and was able to leave only on September 11, she met the news that units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces entered her hometown with tears.
"Yesterday, to be honest, I cried and regretted it. I had to be patient for two months and I would have been there and seen everything with my own eyes," Iryna said. "I wasn't in the mood to leave at all, but every day there were fewer of my people around and more and more strangers. Even at home, I didn't feel safe anymore. Strangers said that all this time, we lived incorrectly, thought incorrectly, and spoke incorrectly."

"I miss my hometown. I still have a cousin, many friends, two dogs, a grandmother, grandfather and uncle, " the boy says. "When I learned the news yesterday, I jumped with joy and sang songs."
