Ukraine receives scarce missiles for air defence, new anti-aircraft systems - Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that Ukraine has received scarce missiles for air defence systems and new modern anti-aircraft systems
Zelenskyy announced this on Telegram.
"The implementation of important defence agreements with our partners continues. We received both scarce missiles for existing air defence systems and new, modern anti-aircraft systems. I am grateful to our friends," Zelenskyy wrote.
He added that efforts to increase domestic production are also paying off.
"For the first time, we have reached the figure of six Bohdans per month. And we already see how to increase it even more. Our grain corridor is also working. We have exceeded 7 million tonnes of cargo," Zelenskyy said.
He continued that he had also received intelligence reports from the frontline.
"Defensive battles on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, active actions in the south. Kherson. Emergency services, Regional military administrations are overcoming the consequences of another barbaric shelling and helping the victims. And the Defence Forces are implementing a plan to deny the enemy the opportunity and desire to terrorise the city," Zelenskyy said.
- On 1 December, it became known that starting in 2024, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Strategic Industries, would increase the production of missiles, ammunition, weapons and military equipment several times.
