This was reported by the press center of the Saeima.
The Saeima banned the broadcast on television and distribution on the Internet of programs created, financed or controlled by the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus. The Saeima notes that the law was adopted to protect the population from misinformation by aggressors.
"Today there can be no doubt that we must protect our information space and the ability of people to resist this soft power that infiltrates under the guise of 'culture', because 'culture' should not be restricted. There is no culture in this country. It is a deadly weapon, which kills the brain," the head of the culture committee said.
113 people voted for, and there was not a single vote against.
