Quarter of Germany weapons goes to Ukraine in 2022

In 2022, Germany exported weapons worth more than 8 billion euros, which was almost a record (in 2021, it was 9.35 billion). A quarter of this armament went to Ukraine

At the one deputy request from the Left side, the Ministry of Economy reported that more than a quarter of the weapons and military equipment exported from the beginning of the year to December 22 were sent to Ukraine.
Germany has approved the supply of weapons to Ukraine with a total value of 2.24 billion euros. This includes, in particular, heavy weapons, 30 Gepard anti-aircraft tanks, 14 Panzerhaubitzen self-propelled howitzers, 2000 gun mounts, five MLRS, advanced air defense system Iris-T. The weapons exported to third countries that are not members of the EU and NATO (totaling 3.23 billion euros), Ukraine received more than two-thirds of them.
