Military observer Denys Popovych said this on Espreso TV.
“According to certain Russian sources, there is an order from Putin to protect equipment and not to spare people. They will send manpower to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions in certain directions. At the same time, they will save their equipment in order to try to create pressure with cannon fodder,” he said.
According to the analyst, this policy emerged due to sanctions and the impossibility of more or less regularly replenishing their troops with equipment.
“In fact, they are creating rifle units like during World War II. With such human masses, they are trying to push our defense in one direction or another,” Popovych concluded.
