Putin's missiles hit world’s poorest: Germany reacts to Russia's attack on Odesa

Germany’s Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock reacted to Russia's night attack on the port infrastructure of Odesa region, saying that Russian missiles deprive the world's poorest people of Ukrainian grain

Baerbock shared the statement on Twitter.

She noted that Russian leader Vladimir Putin has not only undermined the Black Sea Grain Initiative, but also attacked Odesa for the second night in a row.

"He is depriving the world of any hope for Ukrainian grain. Each of his bombs also hits the world's poorest people," Baerbock wrote.

The German foreign minister stressed that despite the fact that it is unlikely that the route for Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea will be restored, Germany supports Ukraine in finding alternative transport routes. In particular, involving the European Solidarity Roads by water, rail and road.
