Putin will not live until 2024
Russian opposition politician Ilya Ponomarev believes that Putin has found himself in a situation where he will no longer be able to emerge victorious for Russians in the war against Ukraine.
He shared his opinion with Espreso TV channel.
"Putin only needs a victory. More precisely, what he can declare as a victory. If certain territories are recaptured that Putin will be able to secure for himself, then this is a certain victory for him," Ponomarev believes.
Russian opposition politician believes that Putin cannot find a solution to emerge from the war against Ukraine as a winner for Russians.
"What Putin has been doing in recent months is more and more reminiscent of some kind of suicide. Since he announced the annexation of Ukrainian territories, he cannot simply leave Ukraine. Putin announced to the Russian population the annexation of the territories and now it will be a disaster for him to just leave like that. This will be his defeat for Russians and Putin will not be their leader. That is why my prediction that he will not live to see 2024 is quite realistic," he added.
