Putin wants to isolate Ukraine from sea, have another puppet at UN — Major General Yahun
Viktor Yahun, Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (2014-2015), Major General of the Security Service of Ukraine, military and public figure, analyzes Russia's strategy regarding Ukraine and other neighboring states. He also draws attention to the danger of Russia potentially deploying nuclear weapons on the territory it has illegally annexed
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"For him (Putin - ed.), Ukraine does not exist as a state, and Belarus, Armenia, Georgia and other states that emerged on the territory of the former Soviet Union do not exist as states. The reason he doesn't advocate for the total annihilation of Ukraine is because he aims to exert control over Kyiv and install a puppet government, just like the Soviet Union, it is beneficial for them to have another voice in the UN. Now Belarus is doing it alone, besides a couple of their other henchmen. And it would have looked as if Ukraine, such a large European state, was supporting all this madness," Yahun explains.
Yahun emphasized that Russia wants to make Ukraine a landlocked state, but one that is fully controlled. At the same time, Russia has done everything to make the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine "theirs" in their worthless laws.
"They are now emphasizing that military operations are ongoing on the territory of Russia, and according to their legislation, all the occupied lands are now theirs. Why did they include these territories? Not only to put their paw on our territory, but also to be able to use domestic legislation in the territory of military operations, to use conscripts, to use tactical nuclear weapons, because they say that to protect their own sovereignty, they emphasize that we did not attack anyone, our military operations are taking place on the territory of the Russian Federation. This is absurd now, but they live and believe it," summarized the Deputy Head of the SBU (2014-2015).
