Putin does not hide his plans to seize Eastern European countries — military expert
Vladyslav Selezniov, a military expert and spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2014-2017, noted that the Ukrainian army defends not only Ukraine's security
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The fact that we lack shells is evident from our statistics. For every one Ukrainian shell fired on the battlefield, there are 5-7 enemy shells. So, the ratio of forces and means is definitely not in our favor. This happened because between August and October, we received 90% less military and technical assistance compared to the same period last year.
The volume of military support from our partners is decreasing. Our partners are hesitating for a number of reasons, but none of these reasons can be a reason to stop supplying weapons and military equipment for the needs of Ukrainian soldiers. Because the Ukrainian army is now defending not only Ukraine's security. Our soldiers are defending the safe space of at least the eastern part of Europe," Selezniov said.
According to the military expert, Putin and his henchmen make no secret of their plans to regain control over Eastern European countries, including Berlin.
"No wonder our German partners have significantly stepped up their efforts to strengthen the military component. Everyone understands that if the enemy does not receive a significant slap in the face in Ukraine, it will work to take control of the Baltic States and Moldova, and then move westwards to Poland and Germany," Selezniov said.
- Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called on Western partners to provide more weapons for the Ukrainian defence forces and to increase their production.
- The commander of the Tavria Air Assault Force, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces faced a shortage of artillery shells and were forced to curtail some operations due to a lack of assistance from Western allies.
