"Putin thought that the West and NATO would not respond, and he thought that he could divide us at home. He was wrong", the message says.

According to the US president, he has spent "countless hours uniting our European allies".

"We confronted Russian lies with the truth. And now the free world is holding him accountable", Biden added.
