Putin is legitimate target for AFU - Piontkovsky
Washington-based political analyst Andrey Piontkovsky emphasizes that Putin is a war criminal wanted by the International Criminal Court
He said this on Espreso TV.
“The Russians say that it is necessary to take revenge for the fact that a scratch appeared on the roof of the Kremlin's Senate building, and on the same day 26 civilians were killed in Kherson. So, who should take revenge and to whom? By the way, speaking of Putin, Putin is a legitimate target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which, as Biden said, can repel Russian aggression and free themselves from occupation by any means necessary. Moreover, Putin is a war criminal wanted by the International Criminal Court,” Piontkovsky emphasized.
According to the political scientist, Russia's threats will not change the mood of the Ukrainian army.
“These are all hollow threats, but it's too late to threaten. All possible crimes have already been committed by the Russians, that's the first thing. And secondly, if we are talking specifically about the destruction of administrative buildings in Kyiv, at least Kyiv's air defense system is at a fairly high level. There are at least two Patriot systems in operation. The Russians cannot do this. These are meaningless empty threats. Threats from the Russian Federation will not change the mood of the Ukrainian army, except that it will move forward more decisively,” Piontkovsky said.
